TM65 Compliance
What is a TM65?
A TM65 is a carbon calculation method used by building services (MEP) professionals, manufacturers, and contractors.
TM65 is a method to produce trusted, comparable embodied carbon data whenever a full EPD is unavailable.
Enistic delivers TM65 reporting with unmatched speed, accuracy, and clarity. Our expert team provides hands-on guidance at every step, while our AI platform streamlines the process for rapid, reliable results. We ensure you receive clear, compliant TM65 assessments that strengthen submissions, boost client confidence, and demonstrate your product’s carbon performance, without the typical workload or complexity.

Measure
Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and are the reference point against which emission reductions can be measured.
Aims and targets
Targets allow you to judge whether the plans you made to reduce your carbon emissions are working, and whether the reductions achieved are meaningful.

Reduce
Select best carbon reduction projects for you and your business, based on your values, the cost, and likely payback time.

Track
Track your carbon emissions to reflect the changes and compare how well you are doing against the targets.

Offset
Offset schemes work by paying volunteers, companies or charities to do things which ‘negate’ your carbon emissions, for example, planting trees.

Certify
Certification is a valuable process that provides checks and balances for the sector.
TM65 vs LCA – Which One Should I Choose?
When measuring a product’s environmental impact, the right assessment method depends on your goals and the data you have available. LCAs and TM65 assessments serve different purposes, but both play an essential role in credible carbon reporting.
Use TM65 when you need a reliable embodied-carbon estimate for building services equipment that do not yet have an EPD. It is the fastest way to meet project requirements, support tenders, and fill data gaps, especially for HVAC, electrical, and mechanical products where verified information is still limited.
If you require a full, cradle-to-grave assessment of a product’s environmental impact, choose an LCA. LCAs are essential for product development, design comparisons, supply-chain decisions, and creating EPDs. Learn more about LCAs here.
If you require credible data quickly for building services, TM65 is the right tool.
If you need a complete environmental footprint, choose an LCA.
Why should you get a TM65?
Building services equipment contribute a significant share of a building’s embodied carbon, but with many products still lacking EPDs, accessing reliable data can be challenging. A TM65 assessment gives you fast, credible carbon insights so you can meet client expectations, stay ahead of regulatory demands, and clearly demonstrate the environmental performance of your products.
With a TM65, you can:
- Calculate embodied carbon instantly even when EPDs are unavailable
- Strengthen tender submissions with trusted, industry-recognised data
- Meet client and regulatory requirements with confidence
- Stand out in the supply chain by proving your sustainability credentials
- Support low-carbon design decisions with clear, comparable metrics
- Build trust and transparency with verified carbon information
