Do you qualify? Most manufacturers know within two minutes.
Eligibility is assessed site by site, not company-wide, so a business can qualify at one location and not another.
1. Registered at Companies House, with an eligible SIC code recorded against the business.
2. You manufacture a product on the eligible HS code list.
3. The site is in England, Scotland or Wales.
4. At least 33 MWh of grid electricity a year at the site.

The BICS pre-application pack
If you qualify, this is exactly what we do. You review everything before a single form is submitted.
- Your SIC and product HS codes checked against the eligible lists
- Every qualifying manufacturing site identified
- MPANs and six months of electricity bills reviewed
- Eligible manufacturing consumption calculated, and your band confirmed
- Full supporting evidence pack prepared
- Application completed and submitted on your behalf
- Your 2027 payment verified when it arrives
- Your supplier checked, to confirm the exemption is applied at the right value

Renewables Obligation and Feed In Tariff exemptions begin. Capacity Market follows in October 2027.
